Iman seseorang telah disepakati oleh para ulama boleh menaik dan menurun berdasarkan pelakuan di dalam kehidupan sehariannya. Jika dosa memenuhkan ruang kehidupannya dengan dosa, keimanan akan menurun, memberi kesan kepada seluruh amalan. Solat menjadi tidak khusyu' dan berat, demikian amalan kebaikan dirasa membosankan dan teramat menjemukan. Perasaan kesal dan rasa bersalah atas pelakuan dosa pula akan semakin pudar, hasilnya, keimanan di dalam hati menjadi semakin malap tanpa sinar.

Dosa dan pahala boleh bercambah dengan mudah, tanpa kawalan dan kesedaran sebaiknya, catatan amalan seseorang mungkin mengejutkannya di hari pembalasan kelak, sama ada disebabkan dosa yang di luar jangkaan atau timbunan pahala yang tidak disangka. Jika ia pahala, Alhamdulillah, namun bagaimana jika dosa yang memenuhi buku catatan amalan?.

Melalui artikel ini, sekadar ingin mengingatkan kita semua agar lebih peka terhadap salah satu punca percambahan dosa. Malah dosa yang kecil boleh berubah wajah kepada Kabair (dosa besar) akibatnya. Tujuan tulisan ini tidak lain agar kita semua dapat lebih berhati-hati terhadap dosa yang tidak disedari sedang dipromosi dan disebarkan.
